Thailand India Blind Football Combined training sessions 23-26 July 2018, Kochi

The Indian Blind Football Federation (IBFF) is an independent organization promoted by SRVC, Kochi and is affiliated with the Paralympic Committee of India & Indian Blind Sports Association (IBSA) to promote B1 Blind Football in India. IBFF is hosting the Thailand Blind Football Team in India presently for Joint Training Sessions with the Blind Footballers and coaches at Jogo Grounds, Chilavanoor Kadavanthra Kochi from 23 to 26 July’ 18 as a part of an exchange of skills program to develop the National Academy Team comprising of Indian players to develop the side for the future. The sessions are conducted by experienced Thailand coaches Mr Surin Sungsiri and Mr Chaiyaporn Sanidwong with the Thailand Blind football team captain Kong and Panyawut Kupan , one of top players at the moment in Asia and scorers of one of the Goals of the Tournament at the recently concluded Blind Football World Cup, at Madrid in June’18. Tim Suphankomut, Thailand Blind Sports Association head official is also accompanying the team with the official team photographer. Panyawut (in pic), widely regarded as a magician with the Blind Football and a formidable top goal-scorer for Thailand at the World Cup 2018 has been spending time with the academy members to help improve the overall game, ball skills, technical aspects and team play which will help the Indian side as they prepare for the upcoming friendly series against Australia in Sept’18 and future International tournaments. Panyawut would be demonstrating some world class dribbling skills too. The Indian Blind Football team is ranked 29h in the world and we are hoping to take the momentum forward. The first Blind Football Academy has been operational in Kochi from Sept’17 with a batch of 10 members who are dedicating and playing on a daily basis with vocational skills training.
